Del Mar is one of the major thoroughbred racetracks in the United States, which is counted amongst the top 10 horse racing venues in the country. The Del Mar Fairgrounds is located in California at the seaside city of Del Mar. The seating capacity of the venue is 44,000. Considering those in the western states of the United States, Del Mar is the second largest racetrack after Santa Anita Park.
The State of California owns Del Mar race course and given in lease to Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, which operates the racetrack. You can read their slogan of the club as "Where the Turf Meets the Surf." Del More racetrack was built in a partnership with Bing Crosby as well as the famous actors Gary Cooper, Pat O'Brien, Charles S. Howard, Joe E. Brown, and Oliver Hardy. Racing season


Fans flock to the San Diego racing which is held at the Del Mar Racetrack. Del Mar Thoroughbred racing season attracts a large number of racing enthusiasts, which usually start from the mid of July to the first part of September. The history of Del Mar dates back from 1937 during which time Bing Crosby greeted the maiden Del Mar guests and Seabiscuit was the one won the race.
Every season at Del Mar features the top horses of the nation with celebrity jockeys and trainers with plenty of fun and adrenalin rush. Races at De Mar runs five days a week during seasons and the off days Monday and Tuesday. You can enjoy the excitement at best from Wednesday through Sunday. The first race is usually scheduled for 2 PM; however, on Fridays, the first post may be at 4 PM.

You can enter into these concerts for free on hold the racetrack admission tickets but should enter the gates before last race.
