These are my first trekking poles. After researching, I knew what I wanted, found Montem accidentally. The poles I wanted were about 40% cheaper with Monte’s than the more common brands. I took a chance and am very happy I chose these poles. I had nothing to compare them to, since these were my first, but I did find other poles in stores near where I was hiking and after using these poles, then looking at the poles being sold in the local stores, found these to be lighter, grip was better strength seemed great, didn’t really put too much stress on them yet, no slippage, easy to use and adjust. From my limited experience, I give them a 5 Star.
